White Tara – Tibetan Buddhist Deity

White Tara is an important female Buddha revered in Vajrayana and Mahayana Buddhism. She is especially important for health, healinng and longevity – both for our bodies and minds. Saddened at how few had opted to work for the welfare of sentient beings in a female form and having developed bodhicitta as a woman, she resolved to always be reborn as a female bodhisattva until the end of samsara.
She is often depicted with seven eyes, which represent her ability to see and respond to the suffering of all beings. White Tara is also known for her white color, which symbolizes purity and her ability to overcome obstacles.

Practitioners often recite White Tara’s mantra, “Om Tare Tuttare Ture Mama Ayur Punye Jnana Pustim Kuru Svaha,” to invoke her blessings and to cultivate healing and longevity in themselves and others. White Tara is also associated with the concept of enlightened female energy, which is believed to be a powerful force for healing and transformation.

In summary, White Tara is an important figure in Tibetan Buddhism, representing healing, longevity, compassion, and enlightened female energy. Her practice is believed to be beneficial for overcoming obstacles, cultivating positive qualities, and for achieving spiritual awakening.

The statue is intended to be white at 180cm tall.
