Astrology – Marichi

Marichi in tibetan astrology, is a deity associated with light and the sun, holding a significant place in Buddhism. She is often depicted with multiple arms and faces, and is sometimes shown riding a chariot pulled by pigs.

In Marichi is revered as a goddess of light. She is invoked for protection and is considered a remover of obstacles and darkness.

Marichi can be invoked to assist practitioners with protection especially during travel, removing obstacles, restoring vital energy and increasing fortune. In addition, she is a protector of the Sublime Realm of Shambhala. In some lineages of Vajrayana Buddhism, Marichi is also considered to be a manifestation of the 21st Tara. She is the colour of the sunset, a wondrous glowing orange. Like the sun, her blessings pervade everywhere.

In some Buddhist traditions, particularly in Vajrayana Buddhism, Marichi is depicted with multiple arms and sometimes multiple faces, each with different expressions and symbolic meanings.

In the beautiful and sacred Land of Shambhala, we have a special garden with various statues to represent different traditions and regions in the world. Our concept is more emphasized on healing deities and powerful god/goddesses which are well known and worshiped by many people. Each individual will have different interests and different connections. Therefore, the variety of deities contribute to the diversity and Rime view of our garden, then help us create the connection with the tradition that we feel we are subtable the most.

Your contribution for this statue in any way will help us manifest our sacred garden on the real land.
